Gif2SL combines proprietary Earth Machina work, an MIT-licensed example script, and separately licensed open-source components. Each part keeps its own terms.
You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the Free player script under the MIT License.
One conditionKeep the D.L. Cunningham copyright and MIT permission notice with copies or substantial portions of the script. The complete notice is already included at the top of the downloadable script.
Studio runtime

Libraries remain separate
The portable Windows release is designed to keep Qt, PySide6, Shiboken6, PyAV, and FFmpeg runtime libraries as separate dynamically linked files that users may replace with ABI-compatible builds for their own use.
Matching materials at launch
For every public release, the publisher will post the exact corresponding source, patches, configuration information, available build materials, component versions, and notices for the LGPL components actually distributed.
Three-year availability
For at least three years after Earth Machina's last distribution of a release, those materials may also be requested at opensource@earthmachina.com.
Release safeguard
The public builder rejects FFmpeg configured with GPL or nonfree features, a GPL-reported FFmpeg library, and packaged x264 or x265 libraries. Passing the audit supports—but does not replace—the duty to ship matching notices and source materials.
Current release stateGif2SL Studio 1.1.8 is not yet publicly distributed. The approved Windows runtime and its corresponding-source bundle will appear here together when the final release audit passes.
