License and creator use
Your work stays your work.
A readable overview of the Gif2SL terms. The complete agreement supplied with the software is the controlling document.
Use Studio for personal or commercial creation
A lawful recipient may use Gif2SL Studio in their own creator workflow and keep reasonable backup copies.
Own and distribute your output
The Licensor claims no ownership in your original media or finished output. Subject to the rights of media owners, you may use, sell, license, or distribute the texture sheets, information files, WAV segments, notecards, and finished in-world products you create.
Use the Free script under MIT
The Automatic Gif2SL Free script may be used, modified, shared, sublicensed, or sold under the MIT License, provided its copyright and permission notice remain with copies or substantial portions.
Put Studio scripts inside real finished products
Lawful Studio recipients may modify the Fluid Sequence and Audio Only scripts and include them inside substantive creator-designed Second Life objects. No visible in-world credit is required.
- Do not republish or sell Gif2SL Studio, its application source, documentation package, or branded assets as another application, service, download, or developer kit.
- Do not distribute the Studio creator scripts as standalone scripts, script packs, competing player packages, or substitutes for Studio.
- Do not remove ownership or legal notices, bypass technical restrictions, or imply Earth Machina endorsement.
- Gif2SL grants no rights to media, music, characters, fonts, trademarks, or other material owned by someone else.
- Back up source files and inspect output before upload, distribution, or sale. The software and included materials are provided under the warranty and liability limits in the complete agreement.
